Yes, there is a small trading requirement of 1 Standard Lot per month (or equivalent) in order to maintain your free subscription. If your account balance becomes zero or inactive, your subscription will be suspended, however you will not be charged any fees.

Q - What is the minimum balance required to open a live trading account?

A mini account can be opened with as little as $250.00 USD. This will allow you to trade with up to 10k contracts. To trade standard lots of 100k, a minimum deposit of $2000 USD is required.
